Privacy Policy

StageHopper makes map-first event guides for multi-venue events (tech weeks, festivals) as a website and as an iOS app. StageHopper is operated by Jazkarta, Inc. d/b/a StageHopper (www.jazkarta.com), referred to as “we” / “us” below. This policy explains what the website and apps collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Information we collect

• Location (apps only, optional): If you tap “Locate me” on the map, the app requests your device location while you are using it to show where you are relative to events. Your location is used on the device to center the map — it is not stored on our servers and not shared.
• Usage analytics: We use PostHog and Datadog to collect anonymous, aggregated usage and performance data (pages/screens viewed, taps such as date filters and RSVP click-throughs, crashes/errors) so we can improve the product. This is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you.
• Maps: Map tiles are served by Mapbox, which processes your IP address and map interactions to deliver tiles, per their privacy policy.
• Event reminders (apps only): If you tap “Remind me,” the reminder is scheduled locally on your device via the operating system. No reminder data leaves your device.

StageHopper has no accounts and no login, so we do not collect names, emails, or passwords. Event listings link out to third-party RSVP pages (e.g. Partiful); those sites have their own privacy policies.

How we use it

• To show events on a map and gallery, and your position on it.
• To send the local reminders you ask for.
• To understand which features are used and to fix crashes/bugs.

Your choices

• Location: optional — granted only when you tap “Locate me,” and revocable any time in your device Settings.
• Notifications: optional — only scheduled when you tap “Remind me,” and controllable in your device Settings.
• Analytics: honors your browser/device Do-Not-Track / tracking settings.

Data retention & deletion

We don't hold personal accounts or profiles. Aggregated analytics are retained by our processors (PostHog, Datadog) per their standard retention. To request deletion of any data associated with you, contact us below.

Children

StageHopper is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
